2020 - What a year!

Global pandemic, Riots, Elections.

A year that would go down in history as one of the worst for wiping away a significant number in the population. Inhumane behavior that questions the very basic nature of mankind- respect for each other's lives. While most of us were asked to stay home to protect ourselves and others - a reasonable expectation I would say; few others seemed to be living in a parallel universe of some kind where these serious issues seized to even exist.

A year…

Where doctors, nurses & first responders were rightfully revered. Where eyes did most of the talking. Where masks became a must have accessory. Where sanitizer sales went up. Where the beauty of nature had to enjoyed through a window. Where hugs & handshakes became virtual or 6 feet apart. Where your home became an office, a school, a gym & a playground. Where we realized that we needed more human interaction to stay sane. Where people were stranded due to the travel ban. Where prayers meant more than a visit to a church, mosque or temple. Where street vendors & small businesses struggled to stay afloat. Where an overlooked basic hygiene had to be re-taught & practiced all across the world. Where turmeric and ginger were probably consumed the most :) Where home food became good healthy food. Where all of them sat down together for atleast one meal. Where cooking experiments were conducted. Where DIY projects were on a rise. Where dressing up for no reason made sense. Where web series were binge watched. Where I became an aunt :) Where I tried French food for the first time. Where I for the first time entered a college here in the US to study ceramics. Where I had to drop out of the very same course due to the pandemic. Where I bought my very own pottery wheel. Where I made my very own coffee mug. Where I realize that if you have a dream, begin to pursue it today.

The future is unpredictable.

Take care, stay safe! Let's get set to welcome 2021!!
