Namaste, beautiful souls! As a passionate terracotta artist from Bengaluru, I pour my heart into every piece, drawing inspiration from the rich folk motifs of our country. In this collection, I’m excited to share five unique designs with you: the 'Face', 'Tree', 'Peacock Motif', 'Bindi', and 'Folk Patterns'.
The 'Face' Pendant
The 'Face' design began with my love for creating masks. I remember making random faces on a slab of clay when I was around 15 or 16 years old. It always starts with sculpting the nose. To me, that's an attractive feature, and I make that well! This round pendant is sculpted as a three-dimensional human face with a long, prominent nose, wide eyes, and a gentle, smiling mouth. It embodies the expressive character often seen in Indian folk art.
This set pairs beautifully with solid kurtas, sarees, or handloom dresses in beige, off-white, mustard, maroon, or indigo. The face motif can be the only dramatic highlight of your outfit.
The 'Tree' Pendant
The 'Tree' pendant draws inspiration from the palm motif, symbolizing shade, calm, and tropical warmth. This bold, nature-inspired terracotta statement piece features a hand-sculpted palm motif on a textured slab of clay. It’s perfect to pair with solid handloom sarees or simple kurtas, allowing the pendant to be the hero of your outfit.
The 'Peacock Motif' Pendant
The 'Peacock Motif' pendant set is a striking statement piece. It features a vibrant blue base adorned with a tribal peacock motif painted in white. This piece pairs beautifully with monochrome outfits, as well as solid whites, blacks, greys, or earthy browns. Each leaf and cone is shaped and placed to mimic a fringe, turning the pendant into wearable folk art.
The 'Bindi' Pendant
The 'Bindi' pendant set is a bold terracotta piece designed around concentric circles and tribal-inspired patterns. Its powerful red, black, and white palette instantly draws attention. This piece works beautifully for festive events, office ethnic days, or casual outings when you want one strong accessory instead of multiple pieces.
The 'Folk Patterns' Pendant
The 'Folk Patterns' pendant set is a bold, handcrafted terracotta statement piece. It combines geometry with tribal-inspired detailing for a striking look. The overall vibe feels contemporary yet deeply rooted in folk art. This piece pairs beautifully with solid sarees or kurtas in beige, cream, black, mustard, or even denim blue, allowing the pendant to stand out as a single statement piece.
Craftsmanship and Design
All these pieces have been thoughtfully assembled using terracotta tube beads, antique gold beads, and spacers. If you’ve been searching for a statement terracotta piece that is lightweight, bold, and easy to style with both sarees and kurtas, this collection was made with you in mind.
