Unveiling my latest Terracotta Treasures: The Folk Motif Collection

Namaste, beautiful souls! As a passionate terracotta artist from Bengaluru, I pour my heart into every piece, drawing inspiration from some of the folk motifs of our country. Here, in this collection, I chose 5 designs to start with. The 'Face', 'Tree', 'Peacock motif', 'Bindi', and 'Folk patterns'.

The 'Face' started with my love for creating masks. I used to make random faces on a slab of clay when I was around 15 -16 years of age.

It always starts with sculpting the nose. To me, that's an attractive feature, and I make that well :) This round pendant is sculpted as a three-dimensional human face with a long, prominent nose, wide eyes, and a gentle, smiling mouth, giving it a mask-like, expressive character often seen in Indian folk art.
