Here comes the Sun! - Terracotta summer collection 2017

Sunshine is my favorite accessory....And after that comes terracotta ;) The all new collection by paintedEarthbyneha is here. Affordable and sustainable handcrafted jewelry that would help you prep for this season. It has simple hand painted jewelry with colors and patterns inspired by nature. When you think of summer, you think of bright colors, comfy clothing and fun accessories. Accessories that are simple and beautiful, colorful and something that embraces the season and that’s exactly what we have to offer. The colors used complement each other with a combination of pastels, primary and antique metallic. The patterns are highlighted with contrasting dark / black or lighter tones. These have been painted upon flat plain terracotta 20mm circular and semi-circular beads. But I must mention on how this even came up. Not intentional, these were supposed to be jhumka bases which ended up becoming beautiful neck pieces. While these bases were made, I was juggling between multiple tasks not realizing I had left these uncovered, and by the time I did, their texture was a little more than leather hard. With the lack of time to carve anything on them (with the apprehension of the piece cracking), I made single see through holes assuming that they will be used as beads. Once fired I didn’t want them to be plain and boring, so I went ahead and painted them. I was so happy with the finished pieces that I decided they should be a stand-alone sets with absolutely no add-ons (such as extra beads or fillers). The sets in the images here are a personal favorite from a collection that has a lot more.

Its been a while since I worked with blocks and this time I got to pick up few beautiful blocks that were handcrafted with amazing precision and neatness. It cut out a lot of work for me leaving behind some fabulous embossed as well debossed effects on terracotta. The images here will speak for themselves:)
