How much more "DESI" can our own "Jhumka" get?
We just completed work on 300 pairs of these beautiful semi-spherical traditional earrings in 'Terracotta'. Each handcrafted from scratch, these beauties boast a varied range of carvings & paintings making them absolutely stunning. No guesses on why I just had to write about them!
I have always wondered what makes them such a sought-after jewelry piece that gets made in possibly every material, may it be gold, silver, copper, paper, terracotta.. and the list goes on.. Not certain on how old they date back to, but something I am sure every girl or woman have it or probably have the desire to own a pair or two ;)

I personally love jewelry that has freestyle patterns painted on them. Being inclined towards paintings, it doesn't come as a surprise that I try incorporate that skill while creating jewelry as well. But at the same time while working with a material as malleable as clay/terracotta, carvings/ impressions too never fail. They are equally beautiful and creative as the paintings done on flat surfaces. Another collection I would like to make a special mention of are the intricately carved ones with just a splash of antique metallic colors with a hint of acrylic on them almost mimicking a metal. The finish is simply gorgeous and steps up a traditional style quotient almost instantly.

Jewelry has always been inspiring; may it be for its varied rich colors , unique shapes, or material, it is a part of every womans' wardrobe where "Apna Desi Jhumka" too finds its place way up there! :)
